The new longplayer offers 15 tracks and once again shows the sonic range and technical know-how of the Cologne composer and musician Malte Schmidt-Kohl:
“Creating lyrics and melodies that are extremely simple and yet incredibly profound is my aspiration and biggest challenge for every Superikone album. I have no interest in sounding artificially ‘meaningful’ or according to a predefined genre. That’s why I usually opt for obvious verse and classic synth sounds of the ’80s, ’90s and today. It’s worth to look into it more intensively, because in each of my songs, behind pretended simplicity, there is a deep longing, desire, insistent social criticism or an appeal to reason. I invite everyone to find exactly that in my songs”.
