From the somber fatalism Waste Away Life, which muses on the ever ticking clock of life as the sands begin to run in the hourglass of our lives, to Defend Against Life! which offers the premise that life is largely a never ending process of defending ourselves against everything it throws at us.
With many international guest artists, including Black Egg Project from Greece and AX Amun, Gargoyle and Ande Oriva from Germany, they forge a striking dark testimony about life and its struggles… But just when you’re ready to give up hope, there’s a little twisted spark of dark humor and sarcasm that puts a smile on your face even in the darkest moments.
Totally danceable tracks created for the darkwave club scene, as well as hints of metal from guest metal guitarists Chris Lörke, Chris H. and Sterni, bridge the gap between synthetically driven beats and electro effects to create something truly unique. Some tracks half wink at you, reminding you that even dark thoughts can also be a source of amusement, and that wit often saves in the worst of times.
