Everything is the same and nothing is the same.
Still a one man outfit M73 keeps the synths and soaring string pads but adds guitars and bass to the increasingly dark and moody mix for a sound far more reminiscent of goth rock than pure dark pop.
Where earlier M73 releases often focused on dystopian sci-fi and eroticism “Hermetic” is grim and mystic.
“Hermetic” was recorded during the first half of 2023 and later mixed during the last months of 2023.
