Isaac Howlett releases a physical EP

Following the overwhelmingly positive response to the digital release of his two 2024 singles, ‘House of Cards’ (#1 on the German Alternative Chart (DAC), #2 on the Bandcamp Synthpop Chart, and #5 on the Bandcamp Synthwave chart) and ‘Endless Night’ (#2 on the DAC and Klangwald Radio Chart, plus a recent new entry at #4 on the German Electronic Web Chart (GEWC)), Empathy Test singer / songwriter Isaac Howlett is re-releasing both tracks as an EP on 7th February 2025, with remixes from Emmon, DSTR, The Foreign Resort and Aiteall (JD Tucker from Grendel).

Produced by Walter Kazmier (NYXX, Danny Blu), the original tracks ‘House of Cards’ and ‘Endless Night’ have already established Isaac as a serious solo artist, and demonstrated the breadth of musicality we can expect from his forthcoming solo album, ‘A Year Without Light’, slated for release in the fall/autumn of 2025. While‘House of Cards’ surprised with its up-tempo beats and dancefloor-pleasing bass groove,‘Endless Night’ packed an entirely different punch, praised by Synthpop Fanatic for its “…beautiful vocals and heartfelt lyrics” and described by Blitzed Magazine as an “ethereal gem”.

Drawing on contacts gleaned from ten years’ worth of touring with Empathy Test, Isaac has invited a host of well-known alternative electronic musicians, most of whom have previously supported Empathy Test and will perform at the upcoming one-day music festival “Empathy Fest” at Leipzig’s Anker on 15th February, to remix one or other of the two singles in their own individual styles. Isaac has already previewed the incredible remake of ‘House of Cards’ by Swedish electro-clash queen, Emmon via his SoundCloud and Bandcamp pages.

The ‘House of Cards / Endless Night EP’ contains 28 minutes of quality music and releases digitally on 7th February 2025.
