Fïx8:Sëd8 – Monolith (Rebuilt Word) unveil a sinister video for the remastered track ‘Monolith (Rebuilt World)’ as the final single taken from the forthcoming reissue of the German dark electro act’s first two albums “humanophobia:dormicum”.
In order to understand the images used in the clip it should be remembered that the concept of ‘humanophobia’ was inspired by Fïx8:Sëd8 mastermind Martin Sane visiting the former Cambodian concentration camp S-21 (‘Security Office 21’). Between the years 1975 to 1979 the Khmer Rouge regime imprisoned and tortured citizens believed to resist the extremist communist ideology in the compound. It has been estimated that up to 2 of the 7 million inhabitants of Khmer Rouge controlled Cambodia were murdered. Of the 14,200 victims incarcerated in S-21 only 7 confirmed survivors escaped the terror.
