Hello, this is Welle: Erdball!
Having long since advanced from insider tip to cult formation, Welle: Erdball are beaming their masterpiece onto the airwaves with the programme “Film, Funk & Fernsehen”… and on all frequencies: Where other bands already talk about an album with eight tracks, here you can look forward to over 2 hours of music and more than 30 (!!!) titles (in the limited version even over 3 hours of audio material, i.e. 4 sound carriers!).
The name says it all: The Power of the Media. And it is almost all-encompassing; with a theme that no longer stops at pandemic, gender and global thermonuclear war and is reflected in German lyrics, but also in songs in English, Russian and even Swedish. With such a scope, the focus is also on some cover versions, because when David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” with female two voices to 6 voices of the Commodore C=64 roars out of the sound radiators, one feels in the right position in stereo when great things happen. To this year’s anniversary of the C=64, which was presented to the world in January 1982, Welle: Erdball has dedicated another complete sound carrier, on which the C=64 with sound & language is the only instrument. The box set of the new programme, limited to 1000 copies, also includes – besides a lot of bonus material – a 5.25 inch floppy disk with the C=64 game “Gehirn-Analyse 4” for that home computer, which the band programmed themselves!
The new album by Welle: Erdball “Film, Funk & Fernsehen” is the milestone that no one will ever get past. It is the original!
In addition to the regular 3-CD set, Welle: Erball will release a limited fan box with the following contents:
