Resonance marks arguably the most prestigious moment in VNV Nation`s career. After years of planning, this album features many of VNV Nation`s most popular tracks, performed exclusively by orchestra and voice. No other studio instruments were used, as the goal was to create a work that was as authentic as possible.
VNV Nation have long been familiar with classical music and have often found inspiration for their own songs in it – with “Resonance” a long-awaited dream has become reality.
The album was recorded with the world-famous Babelsberg Film Orchestra in its historic rooms in Potsdam – very close to the stage where legendary films such as Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” were made.
Only the best studios were considered for the recording, mixing and mastering. The results speak for themselves and can definitely be described as majestic. This album is a soundtrack for a film that has yet to be created.
After the 2015 release, a limited vinyl edition with gold vinyl discs will now be released on 07/29/2023.
Compared to the CD version, there are two bonus songs here. If I Was (Allegretto Affettuoso) and Teleconnect Pt. 2 (Adagio).
