In a dystopian scenario, Superikone contrasts general narcissism with the decay of the world: “It’s just a feeling that silence will soon reign here. We shape the world and blind ourselves. We are illuminated. Glowing flowers die beautifully.”
Referring to the collective inability to act with regard to climate change and unconditional self-development, Superikone simply states: “So beautifully we part.”
It is precisely this contradiction that the song describes in the “Schizophrenic Radio Edit” through the interplay of an almost inconsequentially friendly club track with a lyric that states in a friendly yet very clear way that we are meanwhile erasing ourselves.
“And what remains is the feeling that we are standing at the precipice. But it fades and leaves us cool, because we see no end.”
